Apartment 16072

Location: Bangalore, India

Year of Completion: 2024

Size: 2000 sft

Execution: The Inside Job

Designed as a warm and inviting family home, this 4-bedroom apartment in Bangalore explores a textured material palette with carefully curated pops of colour and pattern in every space. Each room carries its own personality while still tying into a cohesive narrative through shared elements of detail and materiality.

The interiors are characterised by elements with soft curves—gentle forms, rounded edges, and flowing lines that lend a sense of ease and comfort to the space. Warm ambient lighting enhances these sculptural details, while decorative lights have been thoughtfully placed to create moments of elegance and intimacy.

Transitioning from the living room to the kitchen, cement pattern tiles break up the formal palette of wood and marble in a playful manner, adding a layer of unexpected charm and visual relief to the otherwise refined setting. The bar unit's handle was custom-designed to introduce a sculptural element on the wall, intentionally breaking away from the typical look of a storage unit and contributing to the overall visual language of the space.

The colour and pattern interventions bring in vibrancy—whether through accent walls, soft furnishings, or art—lending a unique rhythm to each space. Natural textures, handcrafted elements, and tactile materials balance the visual play with a sense of calm and warmth.

Overall, the apartment feels layered, refined, and deeply personal—striking a balance between contemporary softness and expressive detail.
